Students enrolled in laboratory courses frequently conduct scientific investigations that yield quantitative data. Experiments are generally conducted by groups of two or three students and then all groups' data are pooled for analysis. Because many of the same experiments are conducted from year to year at Westfield State College (as well as other institutions), these data can be pooled across years as well. The following experiments represent some of the student data collected in various biology courses at Westfield State College during the past few years.
