Teaching

Philosophy: I enjoy teaching immensely and consider teaching to be the most important and stimulating component of an academic career. My central professional goal is to teach challenging, enthusiastic and accessible biology coursis in an environment that is both supportive and encouraging to students. I feel that it is important for students to gain an understanding and apreciation of important biological concepts and to develop the critical thinking skills necessary to evaluate current biological issues and environmental problems.
