Course Description

This course examines the principles concerning the interactions between organisms and their environment. Topics covered include: evolution, patterns of distribution, factors affecting distribution, population dynamics, competition, predation, parasitism, mutualism, energy and nutrient flow in ecosystems, and the analysis of the process of succession. Current ecological problems will be discussed throughout the course.
