  An outstanding, fairly extensive guide to mathematical writing. Directed toward undergraduate students who "are likely to be majors, or prospective majors, or students who will go into other quantitative fields and expect to communicated with mathematics in their careers."

• Writing to Learn Mathematics and Science, Edited by Paul Connolly and Teresa Vilardi, Teachers College Press, 1989.
  Outstanding and extensive edited collection of papers on writing in mathematics.

• Using Writing to Teach Mathematics, MAA Notes Number 16, Edited by Andrew Sterrett, Mathematical Association of America, 1990.
  Slightly less theoretical, but similar in spirit to the book by Connolly and Vilardi above. Directed mainly to college and university teachers.
